Add Your Own Caption!

If you leave a small space, it is very easy to add your own text caption underneath your picture, if you so wish?   There are a few ways in which you can do so.

For example, with a new electronic DYMO hand-held labeller, (c £20), with white paper tapes with black text, (c.£4, No.91200, from Staples, etc.).   See -

or

Or with a 'brother PT-1000' hand-held printer, (c.£30 but TZ-131 tapes are c.£12-£16 each), see -

Another method is to simply write on the vinyl film when the card is complete, with a permanent marker pen - perhaps when you are going to be away from home, and don't wish to take a label printing unit with you but do wish to show everyone back home, what you're up to, and with a written caption?!

Of course, you can also create a small block of text (perhaps a poem, maybe?) with your computer, and stick a small passport photo-sized picture next to it on a piece of ordinary thin card or paper.   You would then cut the whole thing out 6" x 4" (152mm X 102mm) and put it into your Fotocard/Greetings card, just like you would an ordinary '6 X 4' picture?

(It will be the only card like it in the world, and very simply produced!)

Not sure what text to add?

Remember - 'a picture paints a thousand words' !

So, on a postcard, how about -

'Greetings from The Smiths in Spain!'

'Sally Emerging From Loch Ness!'

'The Rovers Winning At Twickenham!

'The Jones's On A Long Hard Hike In Wales!'

'The Browns At Alton Towers!'

'Mike, White Water Rafting/Drowning!'

etc. etc. etc., or some other appropriate wording!

On Greetings/message cards, how about something simple, like -

"Happy Birthday, Sarah!"     'Merry Christmas, Sue &Tom!'

"Happy Anniversary, John & Pat!"     'Get Well Soon, Hannah!'

'Happy Easter, Steve & Donna!     'Congratulations, Colin!'

'Happy Mothers' day, mum!'     'Happy Fathers' Day, dad!'

'Look - Our New Baby - Zoey!'     'Look - Our New Home!'

'Be My Valentine, Jenny?'     'I/We Love You, .?.'

"Hello, ..."     'Thank you for coming!'

etc. etc. etc., accompanied by a suitable picture, and in a red FAB envelope, with a white address label?

Or, for personal messages, depending upon the reason for sending a card, how about something like these, that may naturally evoke various emotions/ memories/ feelings?

When accompanied by a suitable picture of yourself, maybe - whilst looking at the camera - it's as if you are saying directly to the person receiving the card -

...You're Beautiful...

...Nothing Compares 2 U...

...I Will Always Love You...

...I Only Have Eyes For You...

...Never Knew Love Like This...

...I Can Make You Feel Good...

...Sorry, Seems To Be The Hardest Word...

...I Want To Know What Love Is...

...Everybody Hurts, Sometimes...

...If You're Not The One...

...You Can Ring My Bell!...

...You Make Me Feel, Mighty Real...

...Are You Ready For Love?...

...The Lady In Red...

...Let's Get It On...

...Give Me The Reason...

...Every Time You Go, Away...

...Take My Breath Away...

...Move Closer...

...Imagine!...

...Loving You Again...

...I'm Not In Love...

...Slave To Love...

etc. etc. etc.!

For messages to friends, how about -

...A Friend Is A Friend...

...At Your Side...

...Bridge Over Troubled Water...

...Just Good Friends...

...I'll Be There For You...

...That's What Friends Are For...

...Thank You For Being A Friend...

Or, for fun cards to friends and family, how about -

...I Will Survive!...

...I'm Every Woman!...

...More Than A Woman!...

...We Are The Champions...

...Girls Just Want To Have Fun!...

...The Boys Are Back in Town ...

...Every Little Thing She Does...

...I'm Coming Out!...

...It's Raining Men!...

...Dancing Queen!...

...Love Machine!...

...We Are Family...

...Ladies Night!...

...Hot Stuff!...

etc. etc. etc.!

Any one of the above, would look great on someone's desk, shelf, coffee table, window sill, bed-side table, etc., or fixed to their fridge-door or notice-board, when accompanied by a good picture!

Just imagine it!

Note: The DYMO 'LetraTag' Labeller can also print many symbols as well as text and numbers, including musical 'quaver' symbols - ... - at either end of your message, if you so wish?

However, the brother 'PT-1000' labeller also prints some symbols   (not musical 'quaver' symbols, though) but on clear gloss tapes that blend in very well with your FAB Postcard or FAB Greetings! card but are more expensive.

On the back of your card, you can perhaps add a love poem or comedy quote?

For some inspiration for such, see -

There are hundreds of Christian spiritual messages & images that you can send.

Likewise, with other religions but here's a few suggestions -

Sikh - 'Sat sri akal'   (Truth is eternal)

Hindu - 'Namaste'   (I salute the light of God in you)

Muslim - 'Assalammu aleikum'   (Peace be upon you)

TIP:   When using the DYMO labeller, naturally, you can use any style of text and borders that you wish but we feel that text in 'medium' size, and 'normal' style looks the most attractive, and are what the card has generally been designed to accommodate.   Perhaps, with no border to the text, or underlined or in a box, etc.?

Similar with the brother labellers.

TIP: When applying the brother TZ-131 tape to the card, just take one piece of the backing paper off at first, position the tape, then remove the other piece of backing paper when the tape is in place.   Like the DYMO labels, these labels don't come off easily, once they have been properly fixed to a FAB Postcard or FAB Greetings! card.

Have fun!
